Chief enologist
Badagoni’s chief enologist and head of Italy’s Enosis Meraviglia research centre. His work brings scientific research into the vineyard and cellar, with a focus on preserving the character of each Georgian grape variety.
Chief winemaker
Sandro oversees every stage of production, from vinification and fermentation to laboratory control and bottling. His work connects daily precision with the character of both contemporary and traditional qvevri wines.
Enologist
Driven by a curiosity for wine and a passion for its
continuous evolution, Salome Salakaia pursued
Viticulture and Oenology at the University of Turin, Italy,
becoming the first Georgian woman to complete a
Master’s degree in the field. She also gained experience
working alongside Dr. Donato Lanati at his research
centre, Enosis Meraviglia.
At Badagoni, she brings this knowledge into wine
research, new projects, and innovation, exploring new
approaches while staying connected to the roots of
Georgian winemaking.
Enologist
Educated at the Oenological School of Alba and the University of Turin, Paolo brings experience in cellar work and laboratory analysis. His approach connects technical knowledge, respect for tradition, and an understanding of wine drinkers.
